EDITOR'S PICK: 10 PRODUCTS FOR VARIOUS SCHEMAS- PART 2 #SCHEMASATURDAY

Over the last 2 weeks, we've gone on a journey to understand what a schema is, and toys to help facilitate practice of the schemas of Trajectory, Rotating and Enclosing.

This week we bring to you 8 toys that will help develop the schemas of Enveloping, Transporting and Connecting.

Enveloping

1. WRAPPING PAPER - SEEMLESS HEARTS by Social Nomad

2. BLANKET - DOLPHIN by Mouse In The House

Dolphin Blanket is the bare essentials for living and exploring'. We ensure that the material is light and breathable both during active play and rest! We recommend this for newborns to 18 months.

Please avoid using pillows, cushions and loose bedding for children under the age of 12 months to minimize risks of suffocation and SIDS. Babies should always be put to sleep on their back, on a firm and flat surface, without any loose bedding, pillows or cushions near them.

Transporting

3. WOOFY - THE PULL TOY from Loyora

Woofy the pull toy with its innocent charm is your child's first pet and friend as they begin to explore their world with their tiny steps. With a natural wooden body, felt ears, freewheeling base and cotton cord, Woofy is a wonderful first pet for your little one.

4. PULL ALONG - CONSTRUCTION SET by Skillofun

Now this calls for some skill! Once you've identified the colors and the shapes, put them together in any way you want! Then pull it along to its next destination! This product is 100% non-toxic and child safe.

5. MY FIRST TRUCK- II - GREEN AND YELLOW by Ok Play

My First Truck-II is an aesthetically designed miniature truck for toddlers with a contoured body. This fascinating truck toy with smooth and free rotating wheels is available in bright and attractive colour combinations, giving your kids immense joy while inculcating motor skills. It is totally safe owing to its smooth edges with no sharp metallic protrusions. The easy to grip body enhances touch and sight recognition in your little bundle of joy in addition to instilling shape recall and motor skills

Connecting

6. DOT-TO-DOT (WIPE-CLEAN) by Usborne

This fun book is a perfect way for young children to learn pen control. Use the special pen to join the dots and find out what the pictures show in each brightly-illustrated scene. Each page is wipe-clean so that children can complete the dots over and over again.

7. CARNIVAL JIGSAW PUZZLE by Wondrbox

8. THREADING PALETTE by Skola

Threading is a delicate yet simple operation that is very effective in improving dexterity because the child has to use both hands simultaneously. Threading is an activity that is extremely soothing and addictive making children want to spend more time with it. This classic toy hence builds concentration and increases attention span simultaneously.

Next week, the last two schemas of Orientating and Positioning!
