India Flag Inspired Arts & Crafts Activities for Toddlers/Preschoolers

Tissue Paper Painting: To set up this activity, you need a kitchen roll. A medicine dropper, 3 bowls with water and food colours (orange, green, and blue). Draw demarcations on the kitchen roll to denote the Indian flag. Allow the toddler/preschooler to use the medicine dropper to drip colours on tissue paper. Tip: You can double up the tissue layer for more fun.
Dot marker flag: To set up this activity, you need the flag by , and dot markers. Print up our flag printable. And use the dot marker to fill out the colours.
Ear bud painting: To set up this activity, you need the flag , ear buds, and child-safe paints. Print up our flag printable and allow the toddler/preschooler to colour the printable.
Nature collage: To set up this activity, you need contact paper, or the flag with glue and an assortment of items from your local garden that are in orange, white, green. If there is no garden, go buy a few flowers that are in these colours. Stick them on the contact paper or any sticky surface to create a flag.
Lentils collage: To set up this activity, you need contact paper, or the flag with glue, blue food colouring, and four bowls with Red lentil (masoor dal), Green gram (green moong dal), and Split black gram (urad dal)
Crepe Paper Painting: To set up this activity, you need the flag by , a brush, a bowl of water, and crepe paper in the colours of the flag. Use the as a stencil to cut out exact sizes of a crepe paper in orange, white, green and blue. Lay the cut out crepe paper in sequence on the flag . Allow the toddler/preschooler to dip the brush in water and make strokes over the crepe paper. The colour transfers onto the paper, thus creating a flag painting.
