Safety recommendations

Please avoid tight swaddling around the hips and legs due to the risk of hip dysplasia and interference with sensory regulation. Arms-out swaddling is preferable, as this allows caregivers to notice the baby’s early hunger cues. Any loose bedding for babies should be used only with close adult supervision to minimize suffocation hazards. It is best not to swaddle babies above 3 months of age or those already starting to roll over, as they may get trapped face down and be unable to right themselves.

It prevents the baby from startling and waking up during sleep (Moro Reflex).Babies can be swaddled with arms out or with arms tucked in the swaddle. Thalelo lightweight muslin swaddles are crafted to produce soft and breathable fabric. The open weave design of the fabric allows airflow and prevents overheating when you wrap the baby.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

We have pre-washed the swaddles but we recommend that (like most baby products) you wash them before first use. Wash gently (preferably hand wash) and line dry or tumble dry on low.
